We are continuing to expand our industrial capabilities with the commissioning of a new automated low pressure aluminum casting line at our production site in Belleville-en-Beaujolais.
This strategic investment supports the development of new projects for electric vehicles for several automotive manufacturers.
We recently welcomed a delegation to discover this new installation, which illustrates the Group’s ability to design and integrate advanced industrial solutions for its customers.
A high-performance industrial line
This new production line integrates several innovations designed to ensure high levels of quality, productivity, and traceability.
It notably includes a BP6 low pressure casting machine, already installed and operational. A second machine, BP7, will be delivered at the end of April, with installation scheduled for May and commissioning in June 2026.
The line also features:
- a next-generation electric trimming press,
- an automated X-ray inspection system,
- individual QR code marking, enabling full traceability of parts and process data archiving,
- automated riser cutting, complemented by central gate milling on certain references,
- automatic unloading of parts onto trees for heat treatment.
The entire process is managed by eight interconnected robots, ensuring smooth operations and high repeatability.
The design and manufacturing of the line, including robotics and grippers, were fully developed in-house by our teams, demonstrating Saint Jean Industries’ expertise in industrial engineering.
An integrated industrial chain up to machining and assembly
This new line is part of a fully integrated industrial setup, which also includes:
- five SW machining centers (each equipped with 5 axes and 2 spindles), which will be fully operational by the end of 2026,
- two assembly presses, one already in operation and a second currently being installed,
- the progressive automation of machining centers planned by the end of 2026.
As with the casting line, the assembly machines, fixtures, and cutting tools are designed and manufactured in-house by the Group.
Through this investment, Saint Jean Industries confirms its commitment to strengthening its industrial capabilities and its positioning in high value-added aluminum components, while supporting technological developments in the automotive sector.
