Croning process

This traditional process is used in foundry of cast iron or steel by our subsidiary Autocast Industries from over 50 years.

Advantages:

• The most accurate methods of using the sand: it is possible to achieve locally dimensional tolerances of + / - 0.1 mm and 0.5 ° of draft angle,
• Obtaining blanks close to definitive forms, which means less machining and weight saving,

Locally, thin pieces: 2.5 + / - 0.5 mm, thanks to an excellent surface shell,

• A wide range of materials could be used, and steel and iron castings can be made using the same method,
• Modular production equipment, suitable for medium and large series,
• Thin shell and therefore less sand to be recycled.
